Catechetical Leadership Certification Program
The National Directory for Catechesis (NDC) delineates the functions of the Office of Catechesis as facilitating the assessment of candidates seeking initial certification and renewal of certification as Catechetical Leaders, designing and presenting catechetical activities for their ongoing formation and development, overseeing communication with Catechetical Leaders and maintaining their files.
Responding to these functions the Office of Catechesis, the Office for Catholic Schools and the Office for Lay Ministry is collaborating to revisit the present guidelines and requirements for certification of Catechetical Leaders. These three offices of the Archdiocese share in the work of preparing Catechetical Leaders for the parishes and Catholic schools and their certification through the Office of Catechesis.
